Kori reached down to her kunai holster and tossed another wooden kunai at the thief. “Damnit! Why don’t I replace those with real Kunai!” Kori yelled as the wooden Kunai flew perfectly and bounced off the thief’s back.
 
He was fast. So was Kori. She took off after him at max speed, bending down and grabbing the Kunai as she ran. They were wooden, but they were pricey, and she didn’t want to lose them. The thief continued to run, and Kori had lost momentum momentarily by picking up her kunai. She tried to pick up her pace as the thief turned a corner.

The thief ran around the corner, skidding on the stone as he did so. Kori tried to pick up her pace, but felt her body already reaching its limits. Was this it? Was this all that she could do? Kori didn’t believe that! She placed her hand on the wall to her right as she turned the corner and jumped. Kori’s hand gripped the stone building and swung her around the building. Her left hand reached down and grabbed one of the recovered wooden kunai and tossed it at the man – heedless that it wouldn’t do any major damage. It would slow him down at least.

The wooden kunai missed by a hairs length. Kori ground her teeth and threw another one as she landed. She tossed this one as her feet hit the ground. Her breath came in ragged gasps as she floored it, feet squeeling on the ground. The thief was simply too fast. He was escaping and she would never be able to catch up with him. That wasn’t right.

One shouldn’t be allowed to just take whatever they want. It took hard work to earn that!

Kori began channeling ice. She wasn’t going to use a jutsu – as she knew none – but she was going to do something. She just wished she knew what.

Kori’s arms were covered in ice as she grabbed another wooden shuriken that was laying on the ground. It had bounced off the thief’s broad shoulders and didn’t slow him down in the least the last time she threw it. Somehow, Kori wasn’t sure how, she knew what to do. Kori threw the wooden shuriken and Hyouton trailed after it, forming almost a bridge between herself and the wooden kunai. It smashed into the thief and sent him sprawling into the wall.

Kori stopped running and placed her hands behind her head as she panted – trying her best to recover her breath.

Kori walked slowly along the frozen sidewalk. She stooped and bent over to pick up the wooden kunai. As she approached the thief, she threw the wooden kunai one more time. It bounced harmlessly off the thief’s back.

“Tag, you’re it.” Kori said with a weary grin. Her breath came in gasps and she struggled to stay standing from the vigorous exercise, but she caught the guy. That meant something, right? She did good. And! She used Hyouton to do it! Kori couldn’t be prouder of herself. It had only been a few weeks since she had begun to be able to mix water and wind to make ice.

So, Kori was pretty proud at what she had managed to do. She eyed the thief on the ground. His chest was rising and falling – so he was still alive. Still, he didn’t move when Kori had hit him with a wooden kunai and talked to him. Perhaps he needed that again? She carefully picked up the wooden kunai – keeping an eye on the thief the entire time in case he tried to make a move and take her off balance. He didn’t.

She threw the wooden kunai at the man’s back once again. He didn’t move. “I said…Tag, you’re it!”
