A sound mind in a sound body : Part 1 (Training: Nexus Points X 7) +reward dice.

Asura continued his usual training routine with Master Roku. He had known he had come far having mastered chakra control as well as the elements to his power over fire. He even had touched the powers of the Jiin clan-- despite the power of the eyes still lost to him for the time being. He would earn it in time, but Asura tried his best to keep his mind occupied on other training. ANd this was what was needed right now-- building up his chakra.

He had dedicated much to the art of ninjutsu but without chakra it would be all for naught, and so Asura asked Roku to help him with his physical training.

And so began the use of taijutsu buidling. Asura had been skilled with it, but had to build up his physical energy to properly use it all. At first he thought athat Roku wouldn't be able to keep up. To his eyes, Roku was a sage like master who mastered more ninjutsu and the more range aspects of a shinobi...

..boy was Asura wrong.

TWACK!! Asura was struck by an open palm of Roku's attack, striking him in the face. Asura stumbled but he was quick to recover. Roku had shedded the long red and black robes he usually wore and revealed that the 'old man' was in rather excellent condition. He was slim but built. He had kept a chinese-style sword on his person which he was not using in this case, but it was clear he was skilled with the sword as his preferred fighting style. He had black hakama and sandals, and a black vest he wore as he now fought hand to hand, and keeping Asura well on his toes.

"Since when did you know Taijutsu?" Asura asked, wiping some sweat from his face as he regained his footing. "

Roku smiled at his student, taking pleasure for any moment when he could teach him a 'lesson' and surprise him. "Oh I think I still have a few surprises to show you in your lifetime, boy," he teased and pressed on his attack, moving fast to strike Asura.

Asura quickly moved to his left and avoided the strike, blocking another jab towards his face and answered with a kick of his own. Roku rose his left arm to block the kick, and grabbed hold of his ankle, stopping the attack.

However, Asura leaned back and pulled, causing the change in leverage and allowed Asura to attempt to throw Roku back. The man went up into the air but letting go of Asura, he twisted and landed back to his feet as Asura got up as well, jumping to his feet.

This time Asura charged, and aimed low for his legs, attempting to strike him down with both a trip and synchronized punch to the chest. However, ROku too was quick and adjusted his footing, spinning past Asura, before delivering another blow with his palms, this time striking the back of his shoulders and neck that could of clearly dealt severe damage if he was trying.

"Be aware of your enemy's movements Asura," Roku advised as he saw his pupil get back up. " Strike hard, and don't hesitate."

The two continued with the sparring as Asura kept up with his master, the two trading blows as the fight lasted for a good hour.
