Option A - Chores:
- Help clean the room, house, or yard for someone that is away from their home or someone is in need of some quick services to get things set for impressing someone.

The mid-morning was sunny as ever, the blazing heat of Suna beating down upon the exchange members from Konoha in the Hidden Sand. Shao, Mari, and Kyle were in attention with their master, Yasha as they were under the direction of one of the sand shinobi to help with missions here. They were there ready to do their part.

... mostly.

"Are you kidding me?!" Kyle shouted, once again throwing a tantrum for not doing more serious work. "Why can't we do anything cool. Literally! Work in this heat, don't they got clones for that?"

Every time Kyle whined like this, Shao felt embarrassed to be on a team with him. Kyle had an excellent talent as a ninja, but none of the mannerism that came with being an example for others. Especially since they were supposed to be on their best behavior for being exchange members in Suna. Mari too showed she was growing exhausted by his shouting.

"Kyle, a mission is a mission. No matter how big or small," she explained in a kind voice, though a strain of impatience lingered in her tone. "We cannot just ignore it. We should be excited because it is a mission."

"But this heat...." Kyle whined.

"Keep it up, or we will ask Mari to use a Suiton on you," SHao commented, urging a smirk from Mari and a scowl from Kyle.

"Okay you three... time we got to work," Yasha interrupted with a calm curtness, and turned to the Sand Shinobi who were looking over them-- Fuu's uncle.

"Okay, we would like it if you could help with the management of sand removal," the shinobi said as he pointed at the outskirts of the village. "As you know, the cliffs keep out the wind erosion and a majority of the sand. Still the winds easily blow it in and slowly it creeps up onto the village's structure. So we brush it away and manage it."

The view was clear as they could see the massive amount of sand crept up along the paved stone and managed barriers that marked the constructed parts of the village.

"You may use wind style to push it back, but you need to be careful to push it far enough towards the cliffs. You can also use the tools here to help," he said, showing to a series of wide brooms meant to push away sand like this. Still the use to use brooms was shockingly slow, but when you didn't have wind style, it made things slower.

"Great... just great..." Kyle groaned.

Shao knew that his partners didn't have Fuuton-- but he had begun training in it. He took a deep breath and stepped forward. With a hand sign, wind began to churn around him. But it was harder than Shao thought. Yes, the wind made the sand easier to move-- but the flow and movement of the wind cast some of the sand further into the village, instead of away.

Kyle snickered as Shao stopped his fuuton manipulation. "Oooh, guess Mr. Hyuga genius couldn't muster up the wind for it this time, hm?"

SHao turned-- and this time, the veins in his eyes sharpened to show his Byakkugan. "Do you want to try yourself, Kyle?" he said in a cold tone, almost threatening menace.

Kyle jumped back, startled by his friend's 'death gaze'. "H-hey hey, I'm just teasing. Chill," he said.

Shao just relaxed, his Byakkugan reverting back to its relaxed state, as he soon went to take one of the brooms. "Let's get to it."

Reo was a Genin. Finally! He had passed the entry exam with flying colors - though it was basically just a short essay. Still, he had become a genin.

The monk couldn’t be more excited about his first mission as a genin - and that was today. It was a normal hot day, with a slight breeze causing Reo to feel that it was a rather cool day - all things considered. He wasn’t sure what the mission was, but Reo has been informed to meet the Konoha squad on the outskirts of the village for his first mission.

That’s how Reo found himself walking towards the eldest of the Konoha four. The shinobi in charge was a (Jounin? Reo had forgotten to ask the ninjas rank but he assumed that Konoha formed teams the same way that Suna did) names Yaksha..no, that wasn’t right. Yasha? That sounded better.

Reo walked up as the three were bickering and bowed towards the jounin. “I am Gojisou Reo and I have been ordered to help you as my first mission as a Genin”.

Before the Jounin, responded, Reo noticed the tools. There was a shovel and a rake. That, plus the location told Reo all he needed to know. They were on a mission to clear the sand build up around the edge of town. A simple task, but a necessary one. Reo stepped out of the bow and walked over to the shovel and picked it up. He was kind of surprised. This was the kind of task you would often see Academy Students doing under the guise of training. Perhaps he had done something wrong to earn this punishment.

N. There was no use thinking about it since there was nothing he could change. He would just have to complete the mission and not ask questions.

Shao soon turned and noticed the newcomer. Reo Gojisou, if he recalled correctly. He was a nice guy and a taijutsu user. Kyle, pausing from his work turned to him. "Huh? Who is Q-ball over here?" he said.

"Kyle, don't be rude!" Mari scolded him lightly.

"Well, at least that is one way to beat the heat, right?" Kyle countered in a leisurely fashon.

SHao stopped his work and turned to him. "Good morning Reo. This is Kyle and Mari, my teammates. " Shao introduced, and each of them said hello in turn.

Trying again, Shao focused his chakra and slowly pushed the sand away with wind style. Though sloppy streams of wind blew, he was getting it and soon was able to push a good mass of sand away. SHao's hands clasped together tightly and he soon saw he was doing better. "Huh, I guess I am getting better at this. " he mused.

"Heh, its no shuriken jutsu," Kyle mused.

Mari had finished with her share of the work, putting down her broom. "Wow, It looks like you learned a few things from the sand Shinobi, Shao. "

Watching, Yasha soon approached them. "Yes, I do hope all of you take this time to learn from them. After all, our stay may not be long. We have news that came in."

"Huh? What news?" Kyle asked, his arms behind his head in a laid-back posture.

“It is a pleasure to meet you both. I will have you know that the bald head is a symbol of a monk of the famed Gojisou Clan. It helps our spirit attain maximum height.” Reo spoke calmly and politely, though there was much he didn’t say. Like the fact that he wished he had hair.

As the Jounin walked over, Reo began to gather chakra in his hands and mimic Shao. Reo was quite good at transforming his chakra into wind chakra, though he was terrible at controlling chakra. Thus, in one section he generated a blast of wind that blew the sand away - though a bit too forcefully. In another section, the wind barely caused the sand to stir. “This is why I stick to tools...oh? You are leaving?”

"And blind your enemies with the crome do--oof!!" Shao gave Kyle a not-so gentle elbow to the ribs, shutting him up.

Shao soon jumped in again and tried to use his wind style. Unlike Reo, he moved slower but more steady with the wind. If it was anything like the gentle fist, it was more about precision and control over raw power.

Something in Shao's mind sparked, like a lightbulb going off. He stopped and looked to his palms. THe gentle fist... wind style... He blinked. "could the two be compatible."

"Shao...? Shao!" Shao snapped out of it and turned to Mari, who looked at him curiously. "you okay. You were doing that thing again."

"Um... what thing?"

"The Mr. space out and in your own head, thing, man," Kyle teased with a snicker as he finished sweeping the sand from the sidewalk.

"Sorry... just thinking about something," and then Shao turned back to his sensei. "Um, you were saying Yasha Sensei?"

The man smirked and soon drew out something from his back. A letter of some kind. He cleared his throat and began to talk. "It is confirmed that this year, the Chunin Exams will begin within 2 weeks. This year it will be held in the land of water, in the Hidden Mist Village." he explaned, his mask hiding his reaction as well.

SHao's eyes widened, and he was sure that Rao and Kyle would be interested. "The hidden mist? W-wait? Does that mean?"

Kyle looked like he would explode. "Please tell me your telling us this because..."

A sigh escaped Yasha as he nodded his head, to answer their questions. "Yes, I will be applying for your CHunin exam entrance when we are done in Suna."

"YIPPEE!!" Kyle all but screamed as he jumped up into the air high.

Shao felt just as happy, but kept it inside and just smiled with genuine excitement.

“Chuunin exams? Huh, inteeesting.” Reo looked over their work. Somehow they had actually managed to get a lot clear while they were talking. This was his first mission but they weee talking about the chuunin exams. That was...disheartening. It was great for them, but what about him?

Would he get to do the chuunin exams? “I wish you all luck in your future endeavors. I hope we end up meeting again - though, as a brand new genin - I suspect that we will not be meeting during the chuunin exams. With that said, I hope you all pass.”

With that, Reo walked further along the line to clean up sand.
